II.1.5) Short Description of the contract or purchase(s) Strathclyde Partnership for Transport requires the services of a media agency to work with our in-house communications team to promote SPT and its regional transport strategy in the written press, broadcast media and outdoor advertising. This will involve creative and strategic input for SPT's marketing strategy for its major services including the Glasgow Subway. A PQQ is available for this contract and can be accessed via SPT website / procurement / buyer profile/ other information. It will also involve the delivery of key media messages to achieve its key objectives, the key objectives are: to create a wider understanding of public transport choices in the SPT area, promote modal shift from private car use, and make SPT's revised role and responsibilities widely known and understood by stakeholders and general public; to create a corporate communications strategy for the external communications of SPT; to monitor the success of all initiatives.The contract period is likely to be for 3 years and will be extendable by a further two. II.2) QUANTITY OR SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT
II.2.1) Total quantity or scope (including all lots and options, if applicable) Strathclyde Partnership for Transport requires the services of a media agency to work with our in-house communications team to promote SPT and its regional transport strategy in the written press, broadcast media and outdoor advertising. This will involve creative and strategic input for SPT's marketing strategy for its major services including the Glasgow Subway. THE MEDIA BUDGET FOR THIS WORK IS IN THE RANGE OF 200 GDP TO 300 GDP PER ANNUM FOR THE PERIOD OF THE CONTRACT EXCLUSIVE OF RETAINER FEES. HOWEVER THIS COULD VARY ON AN ANNUAL BASIS. THE CONTRACT WILL BE FOR A PERIOD OF THREE (3)YEARS EXTENDABLE BY A FURTHER TWO (2) YEARS. IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT RATES WILL BE EXPECTED TO BE PROVIDED FOR THE CONTRACT PERIOD.

PARTIES SEEKING INCLUSION ON THE TENDER LIST ARE REQUIRED TO INDICATE WHETHER THEY ARE A COMPANY OR A GROUP OF COMPANIES. IN EITHER CASE THE ULTIMATE PARENT COMPANY SHOULD BE IDENTIFIED. NO SPECIAL LEGAL FORM IS REQUIRED BUT IN THE EVENT OF AN ASSOCIATED GROUP OF COMPANIES BEING SUCCESSFUL THE PARTNERSHIP WILL REQUIRE EACH COMPANY IN THE GROUP TO BE JOINTLY AND SEVERALLY LIABLE FOR THE SATISFACTORY PERFORMANCE OF THE CONTRACT. THIS ASSURANCE WILL REQUIRE TO BE CONFIRMED IN WRITING BEFORE ANY CONTRACT CAN BE AWARDED TO SUCH A GROUP. GROUP BIDDERS MUST IDENTIFY THE LEAD CONTRACTOR OR FOLLOW INTO A SINGLE ENTITY PRIOR TO AWARD.
